Base Salary
$70k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define requirements for testbeds and test equipment based on experimental objectives and develop software control solutions.
- Design, build, and calibrate custom testbeds and optical tracking equipment.
- Recommend and design test instrumentation, data acquisition hardware, and software solutions.
- Modify and develop LabVIEW-based data acquisition tools.
- Modify and develop MATLAB-based data reduction and analysis tools.
- Perform software design, development, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, system operation, database development, GUI development, and technical support.
- Support optical tracking systems, including programmable logic controller development, data analysis, system administration, network support, and field testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer engineering, systems engineering, or an equivalent related field with 2+ years of experience, or a master's degree in one of these fields with 0-2 or more years of experience.
- Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Experience operating electro-mechanical-optical equipment, including sources, detectors, sensors, lasers, and characterization equipment.
- Experience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data; writing test plans; documenting test results; and generating reports.
- Experience in engineering requirements, design, development, database development, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, FORTRAN, C, C++, C#, IDL, Tcl/Tk, BASIC, Java, HTML, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, SQL, MySQL, MS Access, Assembly Language, and related listed tools and compilers.
- Experience with satellite tracking systems, modeling, war-gaming, software requirements and design, database requirements and design, network support, graphical user interfaces, Link-16 communication, system administration, and field testing.
- Preferred qualifications include testbed design, build, alignment, calibration, data acquisition development, test planning, test reporting, optical and laser test platforms, and knowledge of Air Force and military radar, tracking, and target aimpoint correlation.
- An active Secret security clearance is preferred.
