Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end command-and-control workflow across vehicle software, middleware, networks, and operator control units.
- Define and extend message contracts for vehicle state, tasks, commands, telemetry, autonomy state, routes, convoys, and zones.
- Extend the integration layer between the autonomy stack and middleware and translate operator commands into vehicle behavior.
- Partner on operator-facing interfaces and migrate workflows from the legacy OCU to the next-generation interface.
- Deploy, field, debug, and support C2 software on customer-bound hardware under real-world conditions.
- Analyze test and field results, identify failures across system boundaries, and collaborate with autonomy, middleware, interface, and networking teams.
- Translate program and end-user requirements into delivered C2 capabilities and serve as the integration point of contact for programs.
- Use agentic AI tooling to navigate codebases, prototype, and ship software.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, robotics, or a related field, or relevant experience or demonstrated skill.
- Experience with publish/subscribe or message-oriented middleware.
- Ability to learn message schema, interface-definition formats, and code generation tools quickly.
- Willingness to contribute across the full stack and learn how command and control is presented through user interfaces.
- Demonstrated ability to learn unfamiliar codebases quickly and work independently.
- Core software engineering skills including software design, unit testing, and debugging.
- Proficiency with the Linux command line and Linux development and deployment environments.
- Willingness to use agentic AI to accomplish work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining behavior across system boundaries.
- Preferred: C++ proficiency and experience building usable full-stack web applications.
- Preferred: experience with React, Vue, Svelte, TypeScript, Next.js, Remix, Nuxt, Node.js, NestJS, RESTful APIs, or GraphQL.
- Preferred: networking experience with UDP/TCP, unicast, broadcast, multicast, routing, and hands-on debugging over constrained or unreliable links.
- Preferred: software integration on hardware products, robotics or autonomous systems, real-time or near-real-time systems, or defense, automotive, robotics, or safety-critical software.
