Base Salary
$240k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the architectural vision for customer-facing systems and lead cross-organization initiatives involving scale, system boundaries, and foundational capabilities.
- Establish engineering patterns, frameworks, and governance that promote quality, resilience, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Align engineering and product leadership on strategic technical direction and drive adoption of scalable practices, tools, and development norms.
- Mentor senior technical leaders and promote engineering rigor, talent growth, and continuous learning.
- Clarify direction in ambiguous situations, remove cross-team blockers, simplify decision-making, and accelerate strategic execution.
- Translate customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, scalable technical solutions.
- Drive early investment in observability, migrations, reliability, developer experience, system sustainability, and team velocity.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong record of group-level technical leadership.
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, or Go and deep understanding of system design for scale and performance.
- Full-stack capability with frontend proficiency in React, Next, and GraphQL.
- Experience introducing and scaling shared infrastructure, frameworks, or libraries across multiple teams.
- Proficiency with cloud infrastructure and engineering tools including AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CircleCI, GitHub, and Datadog.
- Demonstrated ability to drive architectural clarity and strategic technical alignment across functions.
- Experience translating customer and clinical needs into reliable, maintainable, high-impact technical solutions.
- Track record of improving developer experience, team velocity, and system sustainability.
- Ability to mentor senior engineering talent, navigate ambiguity, balance short-term delivery with long-term scalability, and make principled technical decisions.
