Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust Java backend services and expose them through REST APIs.
- Continuously improve system architecture, scalability, infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Enhance performance, reliability, and resilience in production environments.
- Collaborate with business experts, traders, and quants to deliver complex financial-markets features.
- Apply and promote high-quality engineering practices, including automated testing.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure long-term system stability.
Requirements
- MSc in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building and maintaining production-grade software.
- Strong foundations in algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and concurrency.
- Knowledge of equity derivatives or trading concepts and experience in financial markets or fintech.
- Proven ability to build modular, testable, and maintainable systems.
- Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring Boot, Git, and SQL.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Readiness to travel to Belgium.
- Familiarity with market data providers and APIs such as LSEG/RFA and Bloomberg B-Pipe is preferred.
