Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
- Participate in the software development lifecycle and develop new software features.
- Use accounting expertise to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
- Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
- Provide support and consulting for software system usage.
- Ensure compliance with project plans and industry standards.
- Write code and document software functionality according to coding standards and technical designs.
Requirements
- 3–7 years of experience for this mid-level development role.
- Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
- Understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with backend API development and relational database storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
- Required experience using Claude or equivalent large language model tools to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
