Responsibilities

  • Understand requirements, solve technical problems, and propose complete software solutions.
  • Design, develop, and test software using standard SDLC practices.
  • Partner with project managers, business analysts, management, traders, sales, and operations as a technical subject matter expert.
  • Define and implement performance, reliability, and other non-functional requirements.
  • Drive improvements to systems, development processes, and overall software reliability.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Core Java or C++ development.
  • Working knowledge of Spring and SQL.
  • Experience developing in Unix or Linux environments.
  • Knowledge of unit testing practices and test automation fundamentals.
  • Understanding of multithreading, threading models, messaging, and low-latency event-driven systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Preferred: experience building trading applications in fixed income, macro, equities, or credit domains.
  • Preferred: familiarity with C#, JavaScript, HTML5, or Angular.
  • Preferred: knowledge of modern software architecture patterns and frameworks.
  • Preferred: interest or experience in cloud computing, machine learning, or data science.
  • Preferred: understanding of operating systems, networks, data structures, and algorithms.
