Base Salary
$92k - $118k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, code, and test approved changes to vehicle controls software tools.
- Follow change control processes and document approved changes to resolution.
- Provide global user support through phone, email, Webex, instant messaging, and one-to-one interactions.
- Create and maintain user accounts and access controls.
- Develop and deliver training materials for the global Ford community.
- Document software changes in user manuals and other media.
- Participate in User Forum meetings.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in C with hands-on experience, preferably in an embedded control systems environment.
- Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, including pointers, bit manipulation, file handling, hash tables, and recursion.
- Experience developing applications in Unix/Linux environments and strong Linux system programming skills.
- Knowledge of Make and Makefiles, GDB, Vi/Vim, and process creation using fork().
- Hands-on experience debugging and troubleshooting code with GDB.
- Knowledge of H32 and A2L file formats and familiarity with Exceed TurboX.
- Experience with control system software development and calibration.
- Experience interfacing with Postgres databases and creating Postgres tables.
- Experience with code configuration management, Jira Issue Management, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
