Responsibilities

  • Learn the architecture of modern AUTOSAR Classic code-generation toolchains.
  • Analyze generated AUTOSAR software for memory footprint, CPU utilization, and code-size optimization opportunities.
  • Develop proof-of-concept solutions for optimizing AUTOSAR components on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
  • Define methods for evaluating software portability and efficiency across microcontroller architectures.
  • Investigate platform-specific assumptions in generated source code and propose architectural improvements.
  • Perform measurements and benchmarking to assess optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with and learn from experienced software developers.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in the final year of a university master’s degree program, preferably in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have strong programming skills in C.
  • Have good knowledge of embedded systems and computer architecture.
  • Understand operating systems and real-time concepts.
  • Demonstrate an analytical mindset and interest in low-level software design.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Have at least B2-level English and at least B2-level Italian.
