ETAS - Curricular Internship for Thesis | Optimizing AUTOSAR Code Generation for Resource-Constrained Embedded Architectures
Bosch GlobalResponsibilities
- Learn the architecture of modern AUTOSAR Classic code-generation toolchains.
- Analyze generated AUTOSAR software for memory footprint, CPU utilization, and code-size optimization opportunities.
- Develop proof-of-concept solutions for optimizing AUTOSAR components on resource-constrained embedded platforms.
- Define methods for evaluating software portability and efficiency across microcontroller architectures.
- Investigate platform-specific assumptions in generated source code and propose architectural improvements.
- Perform measurements and benchmarking to assess optimization strategies.
- Collaborate with and learn from experienced software developers.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in the final year of a university master’s degree program, preferably in Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Have strong programming skills in C.
- Have good knowledge of embedded systems and computer architecture.
- Understand operating systems and real-time concepts.
- Demonstrate an analytical mindset and interest in low-level software design.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Have at least B2-level English and at least B2-level Italian.
