Base Salary
$128k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and deploy scalable, secure, maintainable full-stack software and platform capabilities.
- Translate product capabilities into clear, testable engineering work and collaborate with product owners, architects, stakeholders, and data partners.
- Review and improve code structure, architecture, testability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Participate in or lead Agile ceremonies, peer code reviews, and design reviews.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues and improve CI/CD pipelines and delivery workflows.
- Uphold security and development standards and contribute to technical direction and engineering excellence.
- Mentor team members, provide actionable feedback, and participate in engineering talent interviews.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of production-level software development experience covering feature design, development, documentation, and deployment.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies.
- Experience improving code structure and architecture for testability, maintainability, and scalability.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to lead or contribute to technical discussions, propose improved systems and processes, and work effectively in ambiguous environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
- Ability to travel 3–5 times per year to the New York City or Reston, Virginia office.
- Interest in mission-driven education work, emerging technologies, AI-driven solutions, continuous learning, and collaborative feedback.
