Responsibilities
- Analyze user stories and specifications to create, execute, automate, and maintain test cases.
- Write, review, and maintain automated test scripts, test data, reusable frameworks, and well-defined test scenarios.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, database, service, and production validation testing.
- Manage defects, maintain defect tracking, facilitate defect management meetings, and provide testing status updates.
- Participate in requirements reviews, project meetings, Scrum activities, and software release support.
- Coordinate testing tasks and activities across the broader testing team and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders.
- Provide feedback on functional documentation and communicate quality, compliance, and risk issues to project teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- At least 1 year of automation experience and at least 1 year of automation testing experience using industry-standard testing, development, and quality assurance methodologies.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, CIS, or engineering.
- Experience building automation scripts with Karate or RestAssured and testing RESTful microservices is preferred.
- Experience with Quality Center, Team Foundation Server, Azure Test Plans, SQL Server, Microsoft Test Manager, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, SOAP UI, Postman, or Cucumber is preferred.
- Knowledge of ATDD, TDD, object-oriented programming, web development frameworks such as MVC, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Preferred experience with JMeter or other open-source performance testing tools, databases and service testing, Jenkins plugins, and Azure pipelines.
- Preferred knowledge of Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, keyword, modular, and data-driven testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, organizational, time-management, teamwork, and prioritization skills.
