Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate high-performance metadata services for distributed coordination, locking, key-value storage, and service discovery.
- Develop automated and disaster-tolerant deployment solutions for virtualized and bare-metal environments.
- Provide metadata solutions for infrastructure and business teams across compute, storage, databases, advertising, payments, and AI use cases.
- Drive cross-team collaboration on system architecture design and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot and performance-tune large-scale distributed systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related area.
- Strong coding skills in C and C++.
- Deep understanding of consensus protocols including Raft, Paxos, and ZAB.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed systems.
- Preferred proficiency in Go, Java, or Rust.
- Preferred experience maintaining or contributing to open-source projects such as ZooKeeper and Etcd.
- Preferred experience with compute, storage, and network technologies including Kubernetes, NVMe, SPDK/DPDK, TCP/UDP, and RDMA.
