Lead Security Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Designs, develops, and troubleshoots enterprise security solutions using creative approaches to address complex technical problems.
- Uses authorized enterprise AI capabilities for threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, security documentation, and security engineering workflows while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
- Develops secure production code and reviews and debugs code written by other engineers.
- Identifies and reduces vulnerabilities through security protocols, control-effectiveness processes, discovery, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, and threat scenarios.
- Works with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability.
- Applies reuse-first and AI-assisted SDLC and toolchain practices to strengthen security testing, control validation, traceability, auditability, resiliency, and security.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in security engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience for specified regions, or advanced applied experience according to applicable regional guidance.
- Experience planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions.
- Experience using authorized enterprise AI capabilities to support security engineering workflows, with strong validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code and security recommendations before adoption and escalate uncertainty appropriately.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
- Proficiency across SDLC execution, including application resiliency, security, and stated CI/CD practices.
- Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability testing, and penetration testing.
