Base Salary
$220k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Identify and address key security gaps in Databricks infrastructure and services.
- Create the vision and define the strategy for the security engineering space.
- Represent the security engineering discipline throughout the organization and promote data-driven decision-making.
- Attract top technical talent from across the industry.
- Represent Databricks at academic and industry conferences and events.
- Deliver high-quality security solutions for customer data protection.
Requirements
- At least 9 years of experience in data security or related areas, with expertise in at least two relevant security domains such as cryptography, Kubernetes security, web security, privacy, authentication, identity management, access control, or key management.
- At least 15 years of experience building large-scale distributed systems with high availability.
- Experience leading across functional and organizational lines.
- Strong communication skills for explaining and evangelizing data security to senior company leaders.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
- Experience building systems at large-scale internet companies is a strong plus.
