Base Salary

$114k - $213k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, architect, and implement advanced cloud software supporting space ground software and operations.
  • Write and maintain software using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C++.
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven systems.
  • Design software architecture for distributed and cloud-native systems.
  • Apply Git, CI/CD practices, code review, and automated testing to deliver reliable software.
  • Create software models, design documentation, charts, and technical presentations for internal teams, leadership, and customers.
  • Manage tasking across multiple program schedules and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Level 3 requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 5+ years, a master’s degree plus 3+ years, or a Ph.D. plus 1+ year of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Level 4 requires a bachelor’s degree in STEM plus 8+ years, a master’s degree plus 6+ years, or a Ph.D. plus 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing applications with AWS cloud services, including Lambda, API Gateway, EC2, S3, and IAM.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed or cloud-native software architecture.
  • Experience with Git, code review processes, CI/CD tools, and model-based software design using CAMEO, SysML, UML, or similar tools.
  • Preferred qualifications include AWS security practices, VPCs, KMS, secure API development, multiple AWS service orchestration, CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, technical reviews, and aerospace, satellite, secure communications, or DoD mission experience.
