Base Salary
$197k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve eBay’s GitHub Enterprise platform for a highly available, secure, and scalable experience.
- Define repository, branching, code-review, and policy-enforcement standards.
- Partner with Identity and Security teams to implement SSO, SCIM, role-based controls, and least-privilege access.
- Build automation, APIs, bots, and self-service tools for onboarding, repository lifecycle management, and platform-wide changes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis across GitHub Enterprise and database systems.
- Lead upgrades, migrations, and cross-functional platform improvements while advising engineering teams through documentation and enablement.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering in a large-scale environment.
- Significant hands-on experience with Git-based platforms and deep experience operating GitHub Enterprise Server and/or GitHub Enterprise Cloud at scale.
- Experience with repository and organization management, security controls, auditability, runners, and integrations.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, with experience using REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience integrating GitHub with CI/CD, artifact, quality, or security tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, or SonarQube.
- Understanding of identity and access management concepts including SSO, SAML, SCIM, RBAC, and least-privilege access.
- Ability to work across distributed systems, databases, cloud or container environments, and multifunctional teams.
