Base Salary
$197k - $263k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve eBay’s GitHub Enterprise platform for a highly available, secure, and scalable experience.
- Define standards for repositories, branching, code review, and policy enforcement.
- Partner with Identity and Security teams to implement SSO, SCIM, role-based controls, auditability, and least-privilege access.
- Build APIs, bots, tools, and automation for onboarding, repository lifecycle management, and fleet-wide changes.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root-cause analysis across GitHub Enterprise Server and underlying databases.
- Lead platform upgrades, migrations, documentation, consultation, and enablement across engineering teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering in a large-scale environment, including significant hands-on work with Git-based platforms.
- Deep experience operating GitHub Enterprise Server and/or GitHub Enterprise Cloud at scale, including repository and organization management, security controls, auditability, runners, and integrations.
- Strong programming or scripting skills in Python, Java, or similar languages, with experience using REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience integrating GitHub with CI/CD, artifact, quality, or security tooling.
- Understanding of SSO, SAML, SCIM, RBAC, and least-privilege access in developer collaboration platforms.
- Ability to work across distributed systems, databases, cloud or container environments, and multifunctional teams to resolve issues.
