Responsibilities
- Analyze PRDs, user stories, and persona documentation to identify and map end-to-end user workflows.
- Create workflow and process diagrams using flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, BPMN, or similar methods.
- Design test strategies, test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria covering happy paths, edge cases, failures, role variations, and cross-functional interactions.
- Execute manual and applicable automated testing across workflows, integrations, environments, browsers, devices, and permission levels.
- Log, track, prioritize, and validate defects while maintaining traceability between requirements, personas, workflows, and test coverage.
- Report workflow test coverage and quality risks to stakeholders.
- Recommend workflow and usability improvements and maintain reusable persona-based regression scenarios.
- Collaborate with automation engineers to identify workflows suitable for automated regression testing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in QA or software testing, preferably focused on process and workflow testing.
- Ability to interpret PRDs, user stories, and persona documents and translate them into structured test scenarios.
- Experience with process mapping tools such as Lucidchart, Miro, Visio, or BPMN tools.
- Understanding of boundary testing, equivalence partitioning, and scenario-based test design.
- Familiarity with test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience collaborating with Product, Engineering, UX, and Business stakeholders.
- Exposure to workflow or BPM engines such as Camunda, Pega, or custom workflow engines is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of API testing or automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright is desirable.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and AI-based test automation creation is desirable.
