Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Define the Kubernetes platform roadmap, cloud-native strategy, reference architectures, standards, and technical direction.
- Architect, deploy, operate, and govern enterprise Kubernetes platforms across multi-cluster, multi-region, multi-cloud, and on-premises environments.
- Lead cluster lifecycle management, multi-tenancy, networking, storage, security baselines, and platform governance.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, Kubernetes operators, controllers, GitOps workflows, and self-service provisioning capabilities.
- Architect cloud infrastructure modernization, workload migrations, disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and platform resiliency strategies.
- Establish observability standards, reliability objectives, SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and resiliency testing programs.
- Lead Kubernetes security architecture, policy-as-code, identity, secrets management, zero-trust, software supply chain security, and compliance initiatives.
- Serve as the senior Kubernetes and platform engineering subject matter expert, lead architecture reviews, mentor engineers, and guide cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- 12+ years of infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
- Expertise designing and operating enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms and understanding Kubernetes control planes, scheduling, networking, service discovery, storage, and security.
- Strong experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, GitOps tools and practices, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, service meshes, CNI implementations, and eBPF technologies.
- Strong programming experience with Go, Python, or similar languages, plus experience building platform automation, operators, controllers, or Kubernetes extensions.
- Experience with enterprise identity integration using OIDC, SAML, LDAP, and cloud-native identity services.
- Preferred experience includes Rancher, Spectro Cloud Palette, Crossplane, Backstage, internal developer platforms, OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, software supply chain security, regulated environments, and Kubernetes or CNCF open-source communities.
- Preferred certifications include CKA, CKS, CKAD, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, HashiCorp Terraform Associate, Linux Foundation Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, and CNCF Kubestronaut Program Certifications.
