Responsibilities
- Develop, test, review, and maintain reliable Java applications and services.
- Design and implement APIs, microservices, and database integrations using Java and Spring technologies.
- Create and execute unit, integration, and other automated tests.
- Diagnose defects, technical issues, logs, performance problems, and production incidents.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment, release activities, planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Maintain build scripts, CI/CD pipelines, documentation, and release materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and non-technical teams to clarify requirements and select solutions.
- Apply secure coding, input validation, access control, data protection, performance, scalability, and resource-efficiency practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional Java development experience.
- Experience with Spring, Java frameworks, relational databases, CI/CD, application support, and cross-functional or Agile teams.
- Required knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Gradle, Git, Linux command-line skills, SQL databases, APIs, microservices, and automated testing.
- Experience with MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server and with an IDE such as Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is required, although equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Preferred qualifications include Java 17+, Struts, Spring Data, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, cloud deployment, containers, monitoring, database design, query optimization, migrations, security testing, and Java certification.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, documentation, and continuous-learning skills.
- Completion of required Synechron onboarding, security, compliance, and project training.
