Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain text-based UI panel solutions, reusable components, and shared software libraries.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Own deliverables through design, implementation, integration, troubleshooting, deployment, release stabilization, and post-release support.
- Identify and resolve technical risks, dependencies, defects, and delivery challenges with project teams.
- Develop automated tests and validation mechanisms and participate in design reviews, code reviews, and testing activities.
- Contribute to development tools, frameworks, engineering practices, release readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers, technical leads, and stakeholders and share technical knowledge and best practices.
- Support onboarding and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 6 years of software development experience using object-oriented languages such as C# or .NET.
- Experience developing and maintaining desktop or enterprise software applications.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, design patterns, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience with source control systems, build processes, software development lifecycle practices, troubleshooting, and complex technical issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver project commitments and support software releases.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams.
- Preferred qualifications include C# desktop development with WPF and MVVM, reusable frameworks and UI components, automated and unit testing, CI/CD and build automation, release management, hardware or instrumentation integration, gRPC, REST APIs, messaging frameworks, modern UI/UX, mentoring, Agile environments, developer productivity tools, NI LabVIEW, and NI test equipment.
