Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, test libraries, utilities, and reusable automation components.
- Build and execute large-scale functional, integration, regression, API, system, contract, and distributed-system test automation for enterprise software.
- Analyze existing codebases, identify coverage gaps, and rapidly create meaningful automated test cases.
- Use AI coding assistants and agents for code analysis, test generation, debugging, refactoring, and automation optimization while validating their output through engineering practices.
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD runners, build systems, deployment pipelines, test environments, and reporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, application defects, environment issues, and production incidents using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code.
- Collaborate with engineering, architecture, product, DevOps, operations, and QA teams to improve testability, observability, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Review application and test code and continuously improve automation speed, stability, coverage, and execution efficiency.
- Support production issue reproduction and customer issue troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation experience with strong hands-on programming skills.
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Experience building automation frameworks, test libraries, reusable testing components, and automation infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, APIs, databases, debugging, version control, test design, regression testing, and automation reliability.
- Experience automating tests for APIs, backend services, web applications, distributed systems, or enterprise software.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated test execution, CI/CD runners, and build or deployment infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud environments and troubleshooting cloud-hosted applications and test environments.
- Experience troubleshooting complex application and production issues with logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code-level debugging.
- Ability to independently understand an existing codebase and build significant automated test coverage.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools or coding agents in day-to-day engineering and test automation work.
- Strong analytical, debugging, collaboration, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Willingness to support production issue reproduction and troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.
- Preferred qualifications include enterprise SaaS, IT management, cybersecurity, endpoint management, RMM, hybrid environments, large-scale SDET frameworks, API or integration testing, service virtualization, distributed-system testing, containers, CI/CD platforms, SQL, and AI coding agents.
