Base Salary
$175k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, document, and maintain software and infrastructure for quantitative financial research.
- Accelerate the research lifecycle from data engineering through feature generation and analysis.
- Integrate diverse data sources including blockchains, exchanges, and data vendors.
- Build integrations with blockchain infrastructure, data management solutions, and data-analysis libraries.
- Perform unit, functional, and integration testing.
- Work independently and within a small team while maintaining a strong user focus.
- Provide on-call support as needed.
Requirements
- Professional experience with Python.
- Experience building complex, maintainable, and safely refactorable systems in modern Python.
- Hands-on experience managing large, evolving timeseries data.
- Working knowledge of type safety and type systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong initiative, independent project ownership, and motivation to continue learning.
- Contributions to open-source crypto projects are a bonus.
- Production experience operating full or archive blockchain nodes at scale is a bonus.
- Experience collaborating with quantitative researchers is a bonus.
- Working knowledge of high-level machine learning concepts and lifecycle is a bonus.
- Experience with functional programming and immutable design principles is a bonus.
- Practical knowledge of major blockchain types and clients is a bonus.
