Responsibilities
- Develop and operate productive batch and streaming data pipelines for reporting, analytics, and machine learning.
- Improve software development and deployment practices for data engineering solutions.
- Optimize performance and scalability of data engineering solutions.
- Ensure data quality and consistency through validation and cleansing.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data infrastructure to minimize downtime.
- Implement data security and privacy measures.
- Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, product owners, and specialist departments in interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Completed degree in computer science or qualification as a talented newcomer.
- Enthusiasm for data engineering and software development.
- Experience with cloud technologies, containerization, and big data; Azure, Kubernetes, and Spark are preferred.
- Experience with SQL and data pipeline development, including batch and streaming pipelines.
- Experience with at least one of Python, Scala, or Java.
- Knowledge of the software development cycle and related best practices.
- Analytical skills, an agile mindset, independence, and a hands-on approach.
