Base Salary

$225k - $340k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cybersecurity engineers focused on rapid response to active threats.
  • Implement Starshield’s cyber defense strategy and develop countermeasures against evolving threats.
  • Conduct red-team exercises, internal bug hunts, vulnerability discovery, and vulnerability triage.
  • Improve incident discovery and response in collaboration with internal security-event detection teams.
  • Collaborate with security-feature and incident-discovery engineering teams to improve system defenses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer security, or a similar field plus 7+ years of cybersecurity experience in active production systems, or 10+ years of that experience.
  • Experience leading a team of direct reports and preferably leading 3–5 engineers on a cybersecurity technical project.
  • Experience implementing adversary-detection and incident-response systems.
  • Expertise in computer networks, large-scale distributed compute platforms, vulnerability discovery, and triage.
  • Experience with continuity-of-operations planning and Blue Team or Red Team assessments.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to nontechnical audiences and learn new technologies quickly.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance; active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $225,000–$340,000, with a possible 10% active-clearance differential up to an additional $20,000 annually; compensation figures are excluded from benefit details.
