Senior Software Engineer, Browser Extension
Keeper SecurityResponsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable browser extension features using JavaScript, React, Redux, and Jest.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to define requirements and deliver strong user experiences.
- Write unit and integration tests, follow test-driven development practices, and participate in code reviews.
- Analyze and improve browser extension performance, reliability, security, load times, memory management, and responsiveness.
- Maintain the existing codebase by fixing bugs, adding features, refactoring code, and resolving technical debt.
- Keep current with web development, browser extension, and cybersecurity trends, practices, and tools.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of JavaScript development experience with strong knowledge of core JavaScript concepts.
- At least 3 years of experience with React, Redux, Jest, and TypeScript.
- Strong experience developing browser extensions and handling cross-browser compatibility and browser APIs.
- Experience with Webpack, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of frontend architecture, component-based development, state management, and UI/UX principles.
- Experience writing comprehensive unit and integration tests and maintaining large, scalable codebases.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, preferred.
- Experience with security technologies, cybersecurity principles, browser security, data protection, browser-extension performance optimization, HTML, CSS, and accessibility best practices preferred.
