Base Salary
$160k - $271k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance embedded software across multiple hardware boards for the Ion robotic bronchoscopy platform.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for issues in released products.
- Provide technical support for deployed medical devices, including firmware and system troubleshooting and customer complaint resolution.
- Collaborate with hardware and test teams throughout the medical-device systems lifecycle.
- Create and maintain design descriptions, test protocols, change histories, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure designs meet Intuitive quality-management, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Expertise developing and debugging firmware and software in C and C++.
- Proficiency in Python for scripting, testing, application, and tool development.
- Experience with embedded communication protocols including I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and TCP/IP networking.
- Expertise debugging embedded systems across mechanical, hardware, and software components.
- Participation in at least two major cross-functional projects or initiatives.
- Preferred experience across the full product development lifecycle, including design, implementation, debugging, verification, validation, and manufacturing transfer.
- Preferred experience with JIRA, Git, Jenkins, CMake, Emake, fiber-optic communication interfaces, and commercial medical devices in the field.
