Base Salary
$305k - $381k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive the long-term architecture of the Identity Management platform.
- Translate product and market requirements into designs that align with product goals.
- Design, implement, review, and troubleshoot highly scalable software.
- Foster a culture of innovation within the team.
- Analyze and refine requirements in collaboration with Product Management.
- Work with engineering management to scope and plan engineering efforts.
- Champion test-driven development and uphold high standards for design and code reviews.
- Collaborate with various teams including QA, SREs, and UX.
- Mentor junior engineers to support their growth.
- Drive key technical initiatives across Okta Product Development.
Requirements
- 15+ years of backend software development experience.
- Deep experience with server-side technologies, including caching and multi-threading.
- Proven experience in Security, Governance, or Authentication & Authorization domains.
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles and best practices.
- Experience in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
