Responsibilities
- Develop and improve recommendation and classification algorithms to enhance user experiences.
- Implement and deploy reliable machine learning systems for DeviantArt’s online art community.
- Build end-to-end systems covering data ingestion through production result serving.
- Apply developments in data and machine learning engineering to DeviantArt systems and goals.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning or closely related disciplines.
- Understanding of machine learning algorithms, especially recommendation and classification.
- Experience designing and deploying cloud-based production systems.
- Expertise with large-scale data processing and machine learning infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Python, Apache Spark, AWS, and PyTorch.
- Knowledge of large language models and their applications to recommendation and classification.
- Experience with serverless approaches or large-scale search engines such as Elasticsearch or Vespa is advantageous.
- Candidates must be currently located in the Greater Vancouver Area, BC.
- Candidates must have current, valid authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.
