Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and support firmware and embedded software applications for existing and next-generation products.
  • Develop embedded software in C and C++ for 32-bit microcontrollers and create low-level device drivers.
  • Develop communication protocols including Ethernet, USB, Wi-Fi, CAN, PROFIBUS, and IO-Link.
  • Apply real-time operating systems and automated unit testing methodologies.
  • Prepare firmware and embedded software design documentation and use hardware-assisted debugging tools.
  • Communicate project updates and resolutions to customers and partners while collaborating with multicultural teams.
  • Meet project deliverables using established engineering processes and quality standards.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of relevant embedded software product development experience is stated, while candidates without full-time experience are also welcomed.
  • Experience developing embedded software with C and C++ and programming 32-bit microcontrollers.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, embedded systems, computer engineering, or electrical/electronic engineering with an embedded software concentration.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems, communication protocols, and automated unit testing.
  • Preferred qualifications include knowledge of design techniques and patterns, hardware-assisted debugging, CERT C/C++ secure coding, and functional safety or security development processes.
  • Passion for embedded engineering, continuous improvement, experimentation, and collaboration in a multicultural environment.
