Principal Software Engineer (Hybrid in Bangalore)

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance platform architecture.
- Architect and evolve authentication, authorization, identity lifecycle, and enterprise Identity and Access Management foundations.
- Define agentic identity patterns for machine identities, delegated authorization, token exchange, scoped credentials, and audited agent actions.
- Drive architecture strategy, technical decisions, design reviews, deployment reviews, and large-scale cross-functional initiatives.
- Mentor senior engineers and influence engineering practices across multiple teams.
- Integrate AI capabilities into complex multi-system architectures and lead related technical initiatives.
- Advocate for quality, monitoring, testing, operational excellence, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to balance market needs and technical constraints.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing scalable, high-availability systems across multiple programming languages and frameworks, including Python, Go, Java, C, C++, and SQL.
- Deep hands-on Identity and Access Management expertise covering SAML, OIDC, OAuth 2.x, SCIM provisioning, session management, and enterprise multi-factor enforcement.
- Experience designing identity strategies for agentic and AI-driven systems, including machine identities, delegated authorization, token exchange, scoped credentials, and auditability.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- Experience leading large-scale architectural transformations and influencing technical direction across multiple teams.
- Expertise in web application development, data structures, object-oriented design, cloud architecture, infrastructure at scale, and database optimization.
- Track record of mentoring senior engineers and guiding architectural development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical, non-technical, and executive audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously while aligning initiatives with business objectives.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Legal eligibility to work in India on an ongoing basis and fluency in English.
