Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain tools that improve the operational efficiency, resilience, and reliability of critical systems.
- Automate manual activity and reduce operational toil using automation and orchestration platforms.
- Write code for service reliability and observability, including telemetry, operational APIs, and tooling.
- Build dashboards using telemetry data and technologies such as Grafana, Splunk, and New Relic.
- Participate in live incident resolution and post-mortem analysis, and implement remediation strategies.
- Drive reliability and observability initiatives and promote best practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Maintain and administer monitoring and analytics toolsets.
- Mentor colleagues on new technologies and practices and support IT Operations with critical tooling.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of programming languages including Python, Golang, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of modern software development techniques and lifecycles.
- Excellent knowledge of SRE principles, including creating and managing Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives.
- Knowledge of observability tools and practices, including Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, and PagerDuty.
- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation and system management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
- Prior experience in a large-scale, 24/7 enterprise environment where uptime and stability are business-critical.
- Hands-on experience with LLM platforms and coding assistants, including integrating AI-driven telemetry for observability, predictive insights, and root-cause analysis.
