Responsibilities
- Design, write, and support open-source libraries using MongoDB.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on new MongoDB features.
- Investigate bugs and support requests from users of the libraries.
- Mentor junior engineers in technical and professional skills.
- Engage with the developer community through speaking and writing opportunities.
- Test and deliver software across multiple operating systems and MongoDB releases.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience writing high-quality software.
- Experience implementing libraries or applications in Java or JVM languages.
- Knowledge of concurrency, parallelism, and distributed systems.
- Desire to participate in open-source software development.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Advocate for testing and modern development best practices.
