Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and customize core Android OS frameworks and services within Android Automotive OS.
- Design and optimize hardware abstraction layers for vehicle-specific hardware.
- Tune Android system performance, boot time, memory usage, and stability.
- Integrate features, debug complex system-level issues, and support inter-ECU communication.
- Write and review performance-critical code and participate in software design and code reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Android app-level development and core Android concepts.
- Expertise in C or C++ and Java or Kotlin programming.
- Understanding of core Linux concepts.
- Preferred: experience developing on-vehicle technology and Android platform software.
- Preferred: experience developing Linux drivers or extending the Linux kernel.
- Preferred: experience with performance profiling.
