Base Salary
$180k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own an entire product domain from architecture through daily production shipping.
- Join customer calls, synthesize feedback, and independently drive product decisions.
- Build and optimize multimodal agents across voice, SMS, and email, targeting sub-500ms voice latency, strong SMS response rates, and long-running conversation state.
- Define quality standards for nondeterministic systems, including evaluations, prompt versioning, guardrails, and drift detection.
- Develop across React/Next.js frontends, Node.js backends, and Python voice services.
Requirements
- 3 to 8 years of full-stack engineering experience and a strong track record shipping 0-to-1 products at high-growth startups, as a founder, or in new vertical teams at top-tier technology companies.
- Production proficiency in TypeScript with hands-on Node.js and React/Next.js experience.
- Production experience building with LLM APIs or agent SDKs such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Vercel AI SDK, or Mastra.
- Depth in production voice or SMS agents, long-running agent state and memory, B2B2C or marketplace product architecture, or agent evaluations and guardrails.
- Ability to make independent product decisions and conduct customer discovery without dedicated product management support.
- Python experience with real-time voice pipelines such as LiveKit, Deepgram, STT/TTS, or evaluation tooling such as Braintrust and LLM-as-judge is preferred.
- Familiarity with Redis, BullMQ, Vercel, Render, Sentry, or PostHog is preferred.
- Strong computer science fundamentals, verifiable founder traction, or experience at a well-regarded AI-native employer is valued.
- Comfort working in ambiguous early-stage environments and defining processes rather than following them.
