Responsibilities

  • Own a comprehensive risk-based test strategy covering functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Transform manual regression into a prioritized automation-first process by rationalizing coverage and driving an automation backlog.
  • Design and maintain test plans and cases for significant product features.
  • Identify, document, track, and triage defects with Development.
  • Participate in product design and refinement reviews to identify quality and testability risks early.
  • Coordinate Product, Development, and QA on testing requirements and appropriate test layers.
  • Partner with Development to grow unit-test coverage and define the development/QA testing boundary.
  • Maintain test documentation, quality metrics, and leadership reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in QA methodologies, tooling, and processes.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and share QA best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in QA engineering, QA analysis, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience assessing, prioritizing, rationalizing, and reducing large or bloated test suites using risk-based strategy.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and influence across Product and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Test-automation literacy sufficient to prioritize automation, select appropriate unit/API/UI layers, and collaborate with automation engineers.
  • Experience with test-management tooling, manual testing, defect tracking, and traceability practices.
  • Ability to lead complex initiatives, drive strategic change, and influence decisions across functions.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry trends, quality methodologies, and cross-functional processes.
  • Preferred: exposure to security, PKI, certificate-management, or compliance-sensitive domains.
  • Preferred: familiarity with BDD, Gherkin-style specifications, and Cucumber-based test suites.
  • Preferred: experience transitioning teams from manual-heavy testing to automation-first testing.
  • Preferred: understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated-test integration.
