Responsibilities
- Design, implement, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure through Terraform IaC.
- Improve AWS performance, scalability, availability, security, and reliability.
- Support user SQL queries and issues and optimize application and ad hoc production queries.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
- Design and configure IAM policies connecting S3, Redshift, Glue Catalog, EMR, and other services.
- Manage AWS VPCs, security groups, and subnets.
- Provide operational management for AWS data warehouses across environments, including configuration, maintenance, code migration, and incident response.
- Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business partners on data models, queries, analytics, and data extracts.
- Maintain documentation for AWS architecture, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of extensive platform engineering experience in AWS cloud environments.
- Experience architecting enterprise data warehouse implementations on AWS.
- Experience with AWS IAM, Redshift, S3, Glue, VPC, CloudWatch, EC2, and RDS.
- Expertise handling complex, large-scale warehouse environments.
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality processes.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
