Responsibilities
- Assist with web application penetration testing and vulnerability triage, rescoring, retesting, and validation.
- Support secure design efforts by working with development teams to establish security requirements early in the SDLC.
- Assist with administration of SAST, DAST, software composition scanners, and WAF tooling within the SDLC and CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform additional duties and contribute to assigned projects.
- Participate in weekly professional development sessions and connect with fellow interns.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, MIS, CIS, or a related discipline.
- Must be advancing to the senior year of study.
- Training or hands-on experience with Java, Python, C#, .NET, or related software engineering languages is a plus.
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10, Burp Suite or equivalent tools such as OWASP ZAP, RBAC, web and HTTP fundamentals, SAST/DAST/SCA tooling, or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
- Interest in or exposure to AI, large language models, and emerging risks such as prompt injection is a plus.
