Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance backend services and APIs for financial products using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Integrate financial systems and third-party services to support reliable data flow and interoperability.
- Optimize server-side performance and maintain data integrity and security.
- Write maintainable code, participate in code reviews and testing, and follow continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Support regulatory responsibilities, risk management, compliance, and appropriate professional conduct.
Requirements
- Relevant higher educational and professional background.
- Ideally at least 5 years of extensive software development experience, including backend development.
- Profound hands-on Java programming skills, including Core Java, collections, JSON, JDBC, and related utilities and libraries.
- Experience with Maven, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JDBC templates, JPA, messaging, and JMS.
- Basic understanding of Unix operating systems and Bash scripting.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, code-review, and code-quality skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, collaborate as a team player, and work in an agile environment.
- Very good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Financial-industry experience is preferred.
- Willingness to work with a global team whose members are in Singapore and Switzerland.
