Base Salary
$150k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Improve the redundant on-vehicle platform and autonomous software stack in collaboration with autonomy and runtime teams.
- Develop software and hardware strategy perspectives for redundant systems and identify longer-term opportunities and gaps.
- Integrate and optimize autonomous software components and partner middleware within the redundant on-vehicle platform.
- Design and develop fault detection, fault handling, and validation strategies for the platform.
- Conduct on-vehicle, SIL, and HiL simulation testing and perform performance profiling and troubleshooting.
- Support key driverless-operation features such as mission control and tele-assist.
- Ensure compliance with the company Quality Management System and contribute to quality and process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience.
- MS or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
- Basic understanding of computer vision and deep learning models.
- Hands-on experience with high-performance IPC or middleware stacks.
- Strong analytical and performance troubleshooting skills, including profiling and roofline modeling.
- Familiarity with CUDA, OpenCL, OpenVX, Halide, or other SIMD programming models.
- Familiarity with Linux systems, kernel tuning, network tuning, device-tree tuning, and time synchronization.
- Comfort with on-vehicle troubleshooting and performance profiling.
- Ability to work with large codebases and adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Preferred experience with computer-vision pipelines, model inference on edge platforms, ROS2, DDS, automotive HPC SoCs, Nvidia platforms, and QNX.
