Base Salary
$142k - $213k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-frequency, low-latency systems on the KDB+ platform.
- Process market data and generate analytics from required datasets.
- Build and maintain data platforms supporting ingestion, management, analytics generation, storage, retrieval, and trading.
- Implement and optimize KDB+ application scaling, load balancing, high availability, large-dataset processing, and query performance.
- Collaborate with product development, technology, production support, quality assurance, and management teams on integrations and system enhancements.
- Resolve complex, high-impact business and system problems and maintain coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards.
- Use Citi’s AI-powered development tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Advise or coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as necessary.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional KDB+ experience and strong knowledge of the Q language.
- Six to ten years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- Knowledge of the FIX protocol and experience handling order and market datasets.
- Practical experience with KDB+ scaling, load balancing, high-availability architectures, large dataset development, and query performance optimization.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience in markets electronic trading or market-making domains.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals, and meet deadlines.
