Responsibilities
- Build and optimize Wolt’s real-time storage access platform and database abstraction layer.
- Develop platform features including developer-facing UI, database automation, client SDKs, proxies, Change Data Capture pipelines, caching, ephemeral storage, and Hot & Cold storage management.
- Design and support multi-region architectures using data sharding and replication.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, automation, and developer onboarding.
- Build solutions for internal engineering teams and collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Strong backend development experience and a genuine interest in building for internal engineering customers.
- Expertise in NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra or DynamoDB.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems focused on scalability and delivery velocity.
- Practical experience using Kubernetes, including EKS.
- Familiarity with SRE principles.
- Ability to work autonomously in dynamic environments and communicate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
