Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture - Data & AI
TELUS DigitalResponsibilities
- Lead pre-sales scoping, technical design, work planning, and communication of Data & AI capabilities to prospective clients.
- Lead technical architecture and discovery for delivery projects, including scalable data pipelines, machine learning model architectures, and MLOps frameworks.
- Own a Data & AI technology vertical covering solution design, platform selection, implementation support, and thought leadership.
- Provide architectural guidance and subject matter expertise in data engineering, machine learning, and artificial intelligence across project teams.
- Estimate team composition, build scope, resource needs, budgets, and fees for Data & AI initiatives.
- Translate complex technical concepts for technical, non-technical, and executive stakeholders and support account expansion.
Requirements
- Deep experience with Databricks, Snowflake, or other major cloud data warehousing or lakehouse solutions.
- Proficiency with cloud-native AI/ML platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Azure Machine Learning, or Google Vertex AI.
- Strong experience deploying and managing data and AI solutions on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Specialized knowledge of data ingestion, ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data lakes, and real-time analytics.
- Knowledge of supervised learning, unsupervised learning, deep learning, MLOps, agentic AI, and large language models.
- Understanding of MLOps principles and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery of machine learning models.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
- Experience with software estimation, work planning, project planning, and delivery within time and cost constraints.
- Experience delivering software or data solutions in an agency or client-service environment.
- Experience with commercial conversations involving budgets and fees for Data & AI initiatives.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts to executive stakeholders.
- Ability to apply repeatable frameworks and best practices to emerging data technologies and AI concepts and work effectively across pre-sales and post-sales environments.
