Lead Platform Engineer

Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of platform and automation engineers and define the platform engineering roadmap.
- Own and administer GitHub Enterprise at scale, including organization and repository structures, RBAC, CODEOWNERS, templates, workflows, policies, and compliance controls.
- Build and operate an Internal Developer Platform that enables self-service capabilities for engineering teams.
- Design reusable CI/CD pipelines and drive infrastructure-as-code, GitOps, provisioning, deployment, and compliance automation.
- Integrate Kubernetes, cloud, identity, and secrets-management tools across the platform ecosystem.
- Develop platform tooling and automation using PowerShell, Python, Go, APIs, and event-driven workflows.
- Explore AI-driven automation for incident analysis, developer assistance, ChatOps, and developer experience improvements.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles.
- Hands-on expertise administering GitHub Enterprise and deep knowledge of Git, GitHub workflows, GitHub Actions, RBAC, and organizational structures.
- Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and CI/CD design and implementation.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in PowerShell, Python, Go, or similar technologies.
- Experience leading or mentoring engineers in a team lead or senior role, along with strong problem-solving and system-design skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Internal Developer Platforms, GitOps tools such as Argo CD, Kustomize, and Helm, AI/ML or intelligent automation use cases, enterprise governance and compliance including SOX, and cloud platforms with Azure preferred.
