Responsibilities
- Define enterprise observability reference architecture and engineering standards.
- Lead telemetry, platform, integration, and automation strategy.
- Guide modernization, rationalization, and adoption decisions.
- Review complex designs for resilience, security, cost, and supportability.
- Develop reusable architecture and resolve complex cross-platform decisions.
- Publish and drive adoption of reference architecture and standards.
- Reduce priority telemetry gaps and improve onboarding repeatability through automation.
- Document architecture capability, cost, and risk decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in observability, platform engineering, SRE, cloud, or systems engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in architecture or technical leadership.
- Experience with metrics, logs, traces, synthetics, RUM, service maps, APIs, and automation.
- Preferred experience with OpenTelemetry, cloud-native environments, Kubernetes, or distributed systems.
- Preferred experience with large-enterprise modernization or migration.
- Cloud, SRE, or architecture certification is preferred.
- Enterprise-principal proficiency includes defining reusable architecture, resolving complex cross-platform decisions, and developing engineering capability.
