Responsibilities
- Conduct web, mobile application, and API security assessments, including penetration testing, threat modeling, secure code reviews, and attack surface analysis.
- Support SAST and DAST initiatives and integrate security testing and protective controls into DevSecOps practices.
- Manage vulnerability lifecycles, coordinate internal and external assessments, and track remediation progress.
- Provide secure development guidance to developers, testers, and business analysts during development sprints.
- Contribute to security frameworks, checklists, and guidelines aligned with OWASP, NIST, and MITRE.
- Assist with application security incident investigations, resolution, post-incident analysis, and preventative measures.
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of security assessments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in application security, IT security, or software development with a security focus.
- Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and secure code reviews.
- Experience with SAST, DAST, and threat modeling frameworks.
- Knowledge of secure software development practices, including OWASP Top 10 and CWE.
- Hands-on development experience or scripting ability with Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
- Understanding of web application security, API security, and cloud security concepts involving AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD security integration.
- Strong communication skills for explaining security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, DevOps, Product, and other teams.
