Responsibilities
- Define budgetary requirements, functional specifications, project plans, and software release schedules for assigned product areas.
- Partner with business and development teams to define engineering, application, system, and process requirements.
- Communicate technology and end-user requirements to stakeholders and maintain engineering relationships with clients and users.
- Deploy highly scalable, reliable, and cost-effective systems in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Develop build automation scripts and streamline continuous integration pipelines using Maven, NPM, Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Nexus, and Artifactory.
- Automate configuration management and deployments with Ansible and Ansible Playbooks.
- Deploy, scale, and manage containerized applications with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Implement monitoring, analytics, and observability frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry.
- Develop infrastructure as code using Terraform or Ansible.
- Operate Jenkins pipelines for Java, Node.js, Docker, and .NET builds.
- Apply code quality and cybersecurity capabilities including SonarQube, SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST, and RASP.
- Provide solutions aligned with audit initiatives, consult with BISOs and TISOs, assess risk, and support compliance.
- Assist with training and mentor junior team members.
- Drive operational process change and improvement while managing project priorities, deadlines, and unexpected changes.
Requirements
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in financial services or a large, complex, and/or global environment.
- Project management experience.
- Experience deploying scalable systems in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Experience with build automation, continuous integration, configuration management, deployment automation, Kubernetes, Docker, infrastructure as code, monitoring, analytics, and observability.
- Experience with cybersecurity capabilities including SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST, and RASP.
- Development experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, or mobile technologies.
- Knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking, reporting, and demonstrated analytic and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, work in matrixed and virtual teams, operate independently, prioritize work, take ownership, and manage pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated track record of operational process change and improvement.
