Responsibilities
- Own the assigned digital domain end to end, including architecture, implementation, integration, release, and production operations.
- Define architecture, engineering standards, technical roadmaps, KPIs, service-level objectives, and acceptance criteria.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership and review APIs, data models, integrations, code quality, architecture, and major technical decisions.
- Lead and challenge vendor engineering teams while validating deliverables against measurable technical evidence.
- Ensure platform resilience, reliability, scalability, security, observability, performance, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
- Oversee automated testing, CI/CD controls, monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, rollout and rollback plans, capacity testing, disaster recovery, and production readiness.
- Lead technical incident management, root-cause analysis, remediation, technical-debt management, and architectural-risk management.
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and knowledge-transfer practices so Qiddiya can operate the platform independently.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Extensive software-engineering experience in a Lead, Staff, Principal Engineer, Technical Lead, or senior architecture role.
- Strong hands-on engineering capability and the ability to challenge implementation-level decisions.
- Experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed, cloud-native, highly available platforms.
- Experience with customer-facing digital products such as commerce, payments, loyalty, identity, ticketing, mobile, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, distributed systems, data consistency, and failure recovery.
- Strong experience with resilience, observability, performance engineering, security, automated testing, CI/CD, and production operations.
- Experience defining technical KPIs, service-level objectives, non-functional requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience overseeing vendors, system integrators, or outsourced engineering teams.
- Strong incident-management, root-cause-analysis, problem-management, communication, stakeholder-management, and technical decision-making skills.
