Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day DevOps support across client environments, including CI/CD pipelines, source control, build and release processes, infrastructure automation, deployment issues, and environment reliability.
- Investigate client issues and requests and translate them into pipeline changes, automation updates, configuration changes, support actions, or technical remediation.
- Support release management, environment readiness, deployment validation, configuration changes, patching, rollback planning, and release-cycle testing.
- Develop and maintain automation, scripts, pipeline templates, infrastructure-as-code modules, and deployment improvements.
- Prepare technical designs, deployment guides, test scripts, support runbooks, service updates, release notes, knowledge articles, and stakeholder materials.
- Support service governance, including ticket prioritisation, SLA commitments, documentation, knowledge management, access controls, change controls, and shared-services processes.
- Track incidents, ticket trends, deployment issues, pipeline failures, platform outcomes, service outcomes, and client feedback to recommend continuous improvements.
- Facilitate workshops, triage sessions, support status meetings, technical walkthroughs, and stakeholder briefings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience supporting Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, live client environments, application support, or solution delivery roles.
- Experience with build and release pipelines, infrastructure automation, SIT, end-user coordination, UAT, go-live activities, ticket resolution, and managed-services programs.
- Strong working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Git, YAML pipelines, CI/CD practices, release management, infrastructure as code, PowerShell, Azure services, monitoring tools, and support processes.
- Ability to investigate pipeline failures, deployment defects, configuration issues, scripting problems, integration errors, performance concerns, and environment-related support issues.
- Experience creating technical specifications, deployment documentation, test scripts, support runbooks, technical notes, release notes, support artifacts, test plans, knowledge articles, and service-improvement actions.
- Secondary working knowledge of Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, APIs, data connectors, container platforms, and Microsoft cloud integration patterns.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, business systems, engineering, cloud computing, software development, or a related field.
- Must be an Australian citizen and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance; existing clearance is highly regarded.
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), or relevant Azure, DevOps, automation, cloud platform, integration, governance, or IT service management certifications are desirable.
- Experience with large complex client sites, Azure integrations, performance investigations, containerized applications, infrastructure as code, release automation, or broader Microsoft cloud delivery is desirable.
