Responsibilities
- Lead migration of the MetaSDV platform from local Docker deployments to a hosted, multi-tenant cloud offering.
- Operate the cloud platform, including capacity planning, SLOs, on-call rotation, cost management, backup, disaster recovery, and reliability.
- Implement security and compliance controls covering tenant isolation, audit logging, secrets, certificates, and identity boundaries.
- Own build and release engineering, including containerized development and CI environments, complex pipelines, caching, multi-architecture builds, artifact publishing, offline packages, and registry hygiene.
- Maintain containerized end-to-end, integration, performance, and load testing infrastructure, along with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and hardware-in-the-loop-adjacent runners.
- Provision and operate partner-facing platform instances and support access management, environment lifecycle, and partner onboarding.
- Improve developer experience through one-command environments, reproducible builds, fast feedback loops, and cross-team infrastructure alignment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of production Platform Engineering, DevOps, Build, or Release experience.
- Hands-on production experience migrating software from on-premise or local Docker deployments to a hosted cloud offering.
- Hands-on experience designing and operating cloud-hosted services with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong production experience with Docker and multi-stage container builds.
- Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD or comparable systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Buildkite, including multi-stage pipelines, runners, and caching.
- Fluent Linux systems knowledge covering networking, filesystems, processes, and performance debugging.
- Fluent English.
- Preferred qualifications include Bazel or similar large-scale build systems, Cargo and CMake migration experience, hardware-in-the-loop or simulation-in-the-loop CI infrastructure, security and compliance frameworks, AI-assisted productivity tools, automotive or SDV platform knowledge, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Pulumi, cloud cost optimization, and experience working with multi-site and multi-contributor teams.
