Base Salary
$115k - $159k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate LLM-backed APIs, agents, retrieval systems, and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Develop evaluations for agent and RAG workflows and use results to improve the quality and reliability of shipped systems.
- Build ingestion pipelines and high-throughput file and data paths connecting customer environments, cloud object storage, and compute clusters.
- Collaborate with Product and Design to define customer problems, specifications, priorities, and incremental releases.
- Own technical design, identify improvements, ship frequently, and follow through on post-launch results.
- Work across Python, Java, Go, AWS, Azure, GCP, containers, Kubernetes, React, and TypeScript to complete customer experiences.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience building and operating backend services and distributed systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Production experience with agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluations, including demonstrating how evaluations improved a shipped system.
- Strong experience with at least one of Python, Java, or Go, with comfort working across services and APIs.
- Experience with data-intensive systems including object storage, relational databases, caches, and queues or streams.
- Experience using AI coding agents with sound judgment to verify their output and interest in new AI engineering practices.
- Ability to turn ambiguous goals into plans, make architectural decisions, and take responsibility for post-launch performance.
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
