Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain modern web-based applications and responsive user interfaces.
- Build reusable UI components using JavaScript and/or TypeScript and frameworks such as Vue.js, Angular, or React.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, and reliability.
- Participate in architectural decisions, modernization efforts, technical design, code reviews, documentation, and coding standards.
- Mentor software engineers and provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support, and constructive feedback.
- Develop and integrate services using C#, .NET, .NET Core, RESTful Web APIs, Entity Framework, LINQ, and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Troubleshoot issues across front-end applications, APIs, services, databases, and system integrations.
- Participate throughout requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, release management, and maintenance.
- Develop automated and manual tests and resolve software defects and production issues.
- Collaborate with front-end, back-end, controls, automation, robotics, product, and other technical teams.
- Support project implementations, customer engagements, development activities, and collaboration with other company teams, including up to 20% travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience developing modern web-based applications and proficiency with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience with Vue.js, Angular, React, or another modern reactive JavaScript framework.
- Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, AJAX, REST APIs, responsive web development, object-oriented programming, and software design principles.
- Experience contributing to software architecture and technical design decisions and mentoring other engineers.
- Proficiency with C#, Microsoft .NET, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, SQL Server, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
- Experience with Git, Microsoft Visual Studio, Azure DevOps or comparable development platforms, and software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, communication, teamwork, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English.
- Preferred experience includes legacy application modernization, JavaScript/TypeScript framework migrations, reusable component libraries, state-management patterns, automated front-end testing, CI/CD and automated deployment, WPF, Windows Services, WCF, Oracle, TCP/IP, distributed client/server applications, industrial automation, warehouse management systems, robotics, manufacturing, material handling, Agile/Scrum, and technical documentation.
